What are the opening hours for Second Hand Textbooks, and where are you located? |

Second Hand Textbooks will be open to for drop offs and sales from 10am - 4pm, Monday – Friday from late February 2008.

Can I check a textbook’s availability on line? |

How will I be paid for my second hand textbook? |

Once you textbook sells you can be paid either by cheque to your mailing address, direct deposit to your bank account or a PayPal payment to your email address depending on which method you select at the time of drop-off. This normally occurs within 4 weeks of the book selling.

Can I be paid if I am overseas? |

Yes, but only cheque or PayPal. Direct deposit can only be made to Australian bank accounts (interstate is acceptable).
If you are an international student and wish to use PayPal, please check this list to see whether you are eligible to sell your books.

What if I drop off a text book and it doesn’t sell? |

Textbooks will be held for a reasonable period of time until sold. If the book fails to sell after this time, you will be notified via email that it needs to be collected. You will then have 10 working days from this notification to collect the book. If the book still remains uncollected we will disposed of it on your behalf.

How much will I be given for my textbook? |

The amount you will receive will depend on the original price of the book when bought new. Generally you should expect to receive 48-49% of the original RRP. We will give you an exact return amount when you drop your books off.

How much can I buy other second hand textbooks for? |

We generally sell books for around 40% below their original RRP.

What books can be dropped off and what books can be bought? |

Only current textbooks that are still being used in current UniSA courses can be dropped off. You can check this by searching the online database at here. If your textbook is not in the database it will not be accepted.
Likewise only current textbooks will be sold to students. You can check availability of a certain textbook at here. If the textbook you are after is listed but currently not in stock you can check back regularly to see when it becomes available.
Although we do our best to ensure that we are only providing current textbooks, please check with your course coordinator or on the UniSA website first before buying any books to ensure that you get the right ones, as it is ultimately your responsibility. |
